Not to sound like an outraged hormone-filled sixteen year old, but as an outraged hormone-filled sixteen year old, I have to say that the game's title is a bit of a bluff.

I noticed your Patreon page. It's nice that you're keeping your games free, because if you were charging money for them then you would be in a metric shit-ton of trouble. I managed to spot countless images from multiple anime. Hell, you even had that school stage from Persona 4 Arena in there.

I'm not exactly sure on how the law works, but I'm pretty damn sure that if you were charging for these games then your ass would be sued at some point.

Even if you never intend to have an artist to avoid copyright infringement, you should still consider getting one before the official release. This way, not only will you have the option of using this as a monetary benefit, but you'll also have an aura of professionalism within your game. If you are having trouble finding artists, there are some willing to help you on Newgrounds. Please consider getting in contact with them. For your sake.

Moving on...

The core gameplay is very "copy and paste." It plays just like how many other visual novel / hentai games play. But the factor that makes every game different in this genre is the story. In this demo there is none. Like, whatsoever. Seriously, man, I was close to falling asleep. Yet again, I recommend searching Newgrounds' forums for writers. (Hell, I'd do it for free! It's not like I have anything else to do!

And hey, I'm not sure if there's some sort of secret ending or special requirement to GET to the ending, but I've been playing up until Day 30. Now, something you may not know the answer to when you're making your own game is the very important question: "IS IT FUN?"
You may not know the answer to this question due to the fact that you're not actually playing it.

I can answer this for you: "No."

In games, especially this genre of games, you need diversity. People play these types of games to escape and have fun. Not to sit around and do the same exact fucking thing every single in-game day for five God-forsaken hours.

HOWEVER, I have a strong conviction that you didn't add anything special for two reasons: (1), It's an early(?) demo. And (2), You just wanted to give the players a taste of how the game works.

At the end of the day, disregarding that the title is a massive lie, I'd say there's hope for this project of yours. I only really gave you a 4 Star rating because I like you. You show honest potential. THAT, and because I assume this is your first time making a game.

[TL;DR]

Story's shit: Get writers (my offer's out there)

Lazy art: Get artist

NO TITTIES, MAN. WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE TITTIES.

Gave 4 Star: Good dev. Honest guy that just wants to make games where people fuck a lot.

P.S. There's no Sexual Education classes in this game. Yeah, I realize that's not the point, but still. The title for you game is really good at misinforming people.

yes! this is a demo, next releases will be NSFW (which means a lot of titties!!!)
I have asked for help a lot but artists and writers who works just for their name in credits are rarer than unicorns :/

Game's fine. Its just the immense amount of lag that kills it. I turned on the "Fast Gameplay" switch in the menu, but that seemed to do nothing at all.

Please fix the lag.

Not to be a downer, but this game is literally just you shooting at things for two hours. Quite boring.

However, I like how it feels like you're slowly connecting all of the games together. I cannot wait for the (hopefully) climactic conclusion!

(This game is definitely going to be the black sheep of the series, beeteedubs.)

Evil-Dog responds:

I'd think Segway of the Dead would be the black sheep lol
Range was just a bridge mini game :)

After playing this solo and with friends, I can confirm for sure that the game is... meh.

The gameplay within itself is fine. It's the off-putting narrative and characters that throw people off. See, all of the character designs, names, and even the universe it's in feels... pretentious. Which I guess would be fine if you were self-aware of this fact and if the story were any good. But I can't really sense any self-awareness in this at all, nor can I say the story is in any way interesting (which sucks because I can tell that the story was worked on... like, a lot. There is literally walls of text in this game that I begin to DRONE through out of boredom).

Problem is, every single story element is cringe-worthy. And that "cringe factor" makes it really hard to continue playing without slowly (but surely) hating everything in the game.

Please keep in mind that I'm not writing this review to deliberately insult you or anything. I just feel like this needs to be said for the sake of your improvement.

The gameplay, however, is the only saving grace of this game. It's nicely paced, but feels mobile and really good to play with. My only complaint is the bland level design. That's about it.

Even though I mostly dislike this game, I actually WANT you to make a sequel. I want to see you improve and take a second shot at it. It would be great to see you tweak up the gameplay and add a few more characters just for the hell of it. I can SEE the potential here, but you're just shy of achieving something big!

(Remember, I'm not writing this review to deliberately insult you. It's just constructive criticism.)

This is one of those "console quality" games. Good job!

I honestly found no value in this game. Sorry. It sounded great on paper, but the execution was kind of "meh." The system you have in place (go as far as you can, die, upgrade, try again) doesn't really work because the game play is so tedious and boring. It's not even hard.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if half the people who played this game dropped it at the first boss out of sheer boredom. The second boss is no sweat, too. If you're an avid sh'mup player, that boss is just a baby-level encounter.

And when you get down to it, the game would be fine if you had just made the bosses' health bars shorter. Like, seriously, you might as well replace the health bar with a timer, seeing as how this game basically runs on autopilot the majority of the time. You should've just made the bosses hard, but with low health. That's it.

NOT MAKE THEM DOG-PISSINGLY EASY WITH HEALTH HIGHER THAN A F***ING KH2 BOSS.

This idea is SEEPING with potential. Personally, I feel there should be more comics, though. There's only, like, two out of the twelve-ish stories there.

Evil-Dog responds:

Me too haha but it's hard finding comic artists who will commit to a long story

So, I'm really enjoying this game so far, but I have a few suggestions:

>An indicator that tells which direction the attack came from when you die (so you can learn from your mistakes.
>And more obvious "strikes" (it's a little hard to tell when the actual ATTACK is going to happen what with all the footsteps and all. I understand that was the point, but could you do something to make it it a little easier?).

That's all. Oh, and has anyone beaten this game yet? PM me if so.

I love the silly take on the trials of dating and the great gameplay! I remember when this game was first published. I believe it was the day Abobo's Big Adventure hit NG. This game was like the warm-up, correct? Well anyways, it was a nice and short burst of fun. Good job.

It's fun to play with the physics, but after a while, it just gets really boring. It feels like you tried to make the 2D version of games like Sumotori Dreams, but it was impossible because of the lack of a 3D plane. The controls are also very poor for what you're asking your players to do. You mapped general movement to only two buttons: Left and right. You didn't even make a walking animation, you just let gravity take over and allowed them to slide all across the floor. There are games on LittleBigPlanet that handle this concept way better than you did. Try to improve this idea and then try submitting it. I think you will enjoy the outcome a lot more when this game becomes the next bundle of fun on NG.

Draspur responds:

Thanks for the review! I've never heard of sumotori dreams until now, but it looks pretty fun. Hopefully I won't come out defensive, but just explanatory. There is a lack of controls, but that's sort of the point, it's quite simple but with two players I've found it to be fun. Have you tried grabbing the other player?

You know, if you want some, there's some candy left over in my van.
